Why should the fun of a Uniting Venues SA camp finish after dinner?

Uniting Venues SA provide exciting, innovative team building opportunities throughout their camp's "Beyond Limits" programme. By dinner time the kids are ready for a break and some food, but what next? Wouldn't it be great to have something to do between dinner and bed time which is great fun, consolidates the day's team work, inspires the kids to take things to the next level, and involves everyone together? We thought so, too. That's why Andrew and Uniting Venues SA have teamed up to offer something extra which answers that exact need. While the kids will be laughing like they've never laughed before, they will also be learning and sharing the important lessons of team work, valuing the contribution of themselves and others, and deepening their understanding of identity and community.
How does it work?
Andrew has built his show around hilarious stories and anecdotes based in the "Beyond Limits" activities. Because of this kids create an immediate connection with the content of Andrew's presentation. Learning is strengthened when children make connections, and this is exactly the reason Andrew uses the days' activities as the basis of his show. The children are involved as they watch his puppet, Dudley, learn the important lessons they themselves have experienced. In fact, the students themselves help Dudley make sense of his triumphs and mistakes - and we know that teaching someone else is one of the most powerful ways to reinforce learning. Using magic, ventriloquism, humour and participation from the kids Andrew's show is guaranteed to make wonderful camp memories the kids will talk about long after the camp is over.
This sounds great, but I still have a few questions:
How much is a show?
$300
What setup is required?
You don't need to do a thing. Andrew even brings his own sound gear. All you need to provide is the kids.
How long does the show run?
Approximately 50 minutes. Because the show includes audience participation the time can flex a bit around their involvement, but 50 minutes is about the right average. For younger groups (children under 7) the show is shortened to about 40 minutes.
Does Andrew have a police check?
Andrew is a registered and working primary school teacher with all relevant qualifications and police checks. He also has public liability insurance.
How can I book?
There are two easy options, depending on whether you are booking a show as part of a "Beyond Limits" programme or as a stand alone service.
Is Andrew also available for other occasions such as my school's vacation care programme or a school fundraiser?
If you are interested having Andrew at another event he would love to hear from you. Please contact him direct (details are below).
Can I contact Andrew direct if I have more questions?
Certainly. You can email him or call on 0405 097 248.

- If you are using the "Beyond Limits" programme as part of your camp then you can ask to have a show added to this package. The staff member organising your "Beyond Limits" programme will contact Andrew on your behalf and the cost will be added to your invoice. You only need to pay Uniting Venues SA, you do not need to make a separate payment to Andrew (unless you would rather do so).
- If you are not running a "Beyond Limits" programme simply submit an enquiry on the contact form of this site and Andrew will be in touch soon after.
